Digital intraoral X-ray – St. Apolonia Dental Clinic

Detailed imaging with digital radiography

Sometimes the dentist needs to see inside a specific tooth or below the gum line — something a mirror exam cannot show. Intraoral radiography is a fast, comfortable way to assess one or several neighbouring teeth.

A small digital sensor replaces old film. With one click a high-resolution image appears on screen. Compared with older machines, dose can be roughly ninety percent lower.

When do we use RVG?

  • Root canal therapy
To verify working length and confirm dense obturation to the apex.
  • Hidden decay
Detects lesions deep in contacts or under existing fillings.
  • Bone and pathology
Helps spot periapical inflammation or cystic changes in the jaw.
